The Albany Gay Men’s Chorus formed in Many of our founding members belonged to several other local choruses but dreamed of starting a local gay men’s chorus dedicated to singing quality choral music as well as Broadway tunes, popular songs and fun novelty pieces.

Can You Feel the Love Tonight. AGMC seeks to build bridges and make a positive contribution to the culture and well-being of the greater Capital Region and beyond. The chorus has grown in size and acclaim over the years, through its major concerts and appearances at various community events.

We Are the Music Makers. They are the backbone of the chorus. It can also be fulfilled by donating needed items to the chorus or purchasing new music. You can join our 5th Section. The Albany Gay Men’s Chorus, in the rich and time-honored tradition of TTBB (Tenor 1, Tenor 2, Baritone, Bass) choral work, endeavors to create entertaining, stirring, outstanding performances.

That obligation can be fulfilled by doing a birthday fundraiser on Facebook.

Albany Gay Men's Chorus Male LGBT Chorus Based in Albany, NY The AGMC formed in after some of its founding members proposing the dream of starting a local gay men's choral group. Come to a rehearsal and hear us sing and watch us work. They volunteer to work front of the house for our events: usher, ticket sales, ticket check in, selling raffle tickets, etc.

Let the River Run. There is no audition. If you have technical skills, we would love to have you assist the chorus with administrative duties. Our season is from August to June, divided into two semesters: spring and winter. If you are interested please email us at info albanygmc.

Directors also help recruit sponsors as part of supporting chorus sustainability.

The Songs We Sing :

Sing with us or volunteer your skills to the administration of the chorus. Members are required to acquire a tuxedo for the winter concert. If you would like to help AGMC deliver a quality experience to all of our audience members we would love to have you.

Rehearsal The Pink Panther. Our Artistic Director will conduct a musical exercise to determine whether you are a 1st Tenor, 2nd Tenor Baritone or Bass. Board members are expected to attend monthly meetings.
